Alexandra Maria Lara has been a German/Romanian television actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is famous for her roles in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actors Valentin Platareu, Alexandra started her showbiz career in the early years of her life. When she turned sixteen, she had secured leading roles in several TV dramas. Her critically-acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for more notable roles like Adolf Hitler's secretary Traudl Junge, in the critically and commercially popular Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The other Oscar nominated films featuring the diva include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Alexandra is associated with numerous important projects both locally as well as internationally. This includes the British biographical film Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon as well as other. She has also been an official juror for the Transylvania International Film Festival as and The Cannes Film Festival.
