Michael Keaton was an American actor, producer, and director, best recognized as the main character in Birdman. He is a versatile actor who is skilled in playing comedy as well as dramatic characters. He's also played several romantic characters and played in numerous action films in his career. In his teens, he developed an interest in acting and performing. He then tried stand-up comedic performances in his teens. It was not successful, though it opened the doorway to his acting career. In order to succeed as a comic, he found work as a cameraman for a local cable station. While at the cable station, he realised he wanted to work in front of a camera. After landing a job on television, he appeared on numerous episodes of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. The natural talents of the actor made him popular in the world of television. In pursuit of his dreams, he began a career in film and was a household name for his comedy roles. His career was further enhanced through his role as Batman in Tim Burton's Batman. As an actor, he grew as time went on and delved into the world of direction and production. As a result of his performance in Birdman (2014), he won numerous awards and nominations.
